What this style changes

Lowercase Latin letters are mapped to similar small-cap characters where available. Existing uppercase letters are preserved. The small x is an approximation using an ordinary x.

Before you paste

A Unicode small-cap alphabet has gaps and mixed origins. It does not preserve the exact typography of a font’s small-caps feature, and recovering original case can be ambiguous.

Start with “little details matter”, compare the outputs above and copy the version you prefer. The copy button uses the text currently in the editor.

How to use small caps generator

  1. Replace the sample with your own wording. Start with a short phrase so you can inspect every changed character.
  2. Compare the available results, including punctuation and numbers. The examples below show this tool’s actual output for two sample inputs.
  3. Copy your chosen result, then inspect it in the destination. If you need only one accented word in a longer sentence, build the sentence in Font Mixer.

Input and output examples

These examples are produced by the same transformations as the tool. The ordinary input is included so you can compare the underlying wording.

Frequently asked questions

Are small caps the same as superscript?

Small caps resemble compact capital letters on the baseline. Superscript characters sit higher. Use this page for a low, compact appearance and the superscript page for raised text.

Why do uppercase input letters stay large?

This mapping preserves existing uppercase letters and converts lowercase letters where a suitable small-cap form is available. Enter lowercase wording when you want a more uniform small-cap result.

Why does x look like an ordinary letter?

This collection deliberately uses an ordinary x as an approximation. The available characters do not form a complete typographic small-caps font. Inspect names carefully rather than expecting every shape to match.

Why can the pasted result look different?

The destination chooses the font and may reject or normalize characters. Test a small sample in the exact field. If it shows boxes or becomes hard to read, choose a simpler alphabet or ordinary text.

Can I copy this style without an account?

Yes. The tool runs in your browser and does not require registration. Copy the displayed output, or select it manually if browser clipboard access is unavailable.
