FontGenerator.lol GUIDES

Keep styled text understandable

Decorative letters work best when the message still comes first.

Style a detail, preserve the meaning

Use ordinary text for long passages, instructions, names readers need to search and anything essential. Decorative Unicode characters may be handled differently by screen readers, speech tools and search features. There is no single pronunciation preview that can predict all assistive technologies.

Give people an alternative

If you share a styled phrase, include an ordinary-text version where practical. If you export an image, add a text description that communicates the wording and any essential visual meaning. Color alone should not carry a message: combine it with words or another clear cue.

Test in context

Listen with a screen reader you actually use and check the app where the text will appear. Review at a larger text size and on a narrow screen. FontGenerator.lol’s controls use ordinary labels, but generated decorative text has its own limitations. Prefer the clearest version when styling interferes with the task.

Try the text generator

Review an announcement as a reader

Imagine publishing a meeting notice. Style the short title if it helps, but keep the date, location and joining instructions ordinary. Read the result without relying on the decorative shape to explain its meaning. For an image version, include the same practical details in nearby text. This is a more useful check than simply asking whether the output looks attractive in the generator.

Frequently asked questions

Does ordinary-text copy remove all accessibility concerns?

It provides a useful alternative, but accessible communication also depends on context, layout, links and the destination application.

Can a style be declared safe for every screen reader?

No single test covers every combination of reader, language, browser and destination. Use ordinary text for essential information.
