Underline Text Generator
Choose a single or double underline for supported letters and numbers.
What this style changes
A combining underline follows each ASCII letter or digit. The double-line option uses a different combining character, rather than doubling every character in the source.
Before you paste
Underline thickness, spacing and clipping depend on the destination font. Underlined plain text is not a clickable link; avoid styling that could confuse readers about what they can tap.
Try a short example
Start with “Worth a second look”, compare the outputs above and copy the version you prefer. The copy button uses the text currently in the editor.
How to use underline text generator
- Replace the sample with your own wording. Start with a short phrase so you can inspect every changed character.
- Compare the available results, including punctuation and numbers. The examples below show this tool’s actual output for two sample inputs.
- Copy your chosen result, then inspect it in the destination. If you need only one accented word in a longer sentence, build the sentence in Font Mixer.
Input and output examples
These examples are produced by the same transformations as the tool. The ordinary input is included so you can compare the underlying wording.

Frequently asked questions
Can I choose one line or two?
Yes. This page offers single and double combining underlines. The receiving font determines their exact thickness and vertical position; the tool cannot set those measurements.
Why are there gaps between underlines?
Each supported letter or digit receives its own combining mark. The destination may draw those marks separately. Spaces and unsupported characters are not underlined by this implementation.
Will the underlined text become a link?
No. A line beneath a word does not add a web address or click behavior. Insert an actual link using the destination app if readers need to navigate somewhere.
Why can the pasted result look different?
The destination chooses the font and may reject or normalize characters. Test a small sample in the exact field. If it shows boxes or becomes hard to read, choose a simpler alphabet or ordinary text.
Can I copy this style without an account?
Yes. The tool runs in your browser and does not require registration. Copy the displayed output, or select it manually if browser clipboard access is unavailable.
