Choose between styled text and a PNG
Decide whether your result needs to stay editable and searchable or preserve a particular rendered appearance.
Choose the format by what readers need to do
Text can be selected, edited and pasted into a field. A PNG preserves the pixels of a graphic. Neither is a universal replacement for the other. If someone needs to copy a name, address or instruction, keep that information as ordinary text even when you also provide a decorative version. If the composition itself matters, an image may be useful alongside it.
Know what styled text preserves
The generator copies characters rather than the page’s chosen font, size or color. The receiving app draws them using its own fonts and layout. That makes them convenient for short accents, but the appearance can vary. A decorative alphabet can also make a search term harder to match. Keep searchable names and practical details in an ordinary spelling.
Know what a PNG preserves
Text to PNG renders the current wording into a canvas. The downloaded file preserves that drawing, including line breaks and colors. It does not contain an editable text layer, and it cannot fit into a field that only accepts text. Save the original wording separately so a future correction does not require retyping from an image.
Check a transparent graphic in context
A transparent export places its letters directly against whatever is behind it. Dark letters can disappear on a dark background, and light letters can disappear on white. The checkerboard in the preview is only an aid. Review the actual downloaded image on the intended surface and add a solid background if transparency makes the message unreliable.
Publish the wording as well as the design
A caption or useful alternative description should communicate the words and any visual detail necessary to understand the graphic. Do not rely on color alone to signal a change or status. For an important announcement, place the full information in ordinary page text and use the graphic as a companion. This keeps the content usable when the image is not displayed.
Frequently asked questions
Can I paste a PNG into a username field?
A text-only field does not accept an image as its account identifier. Use ordinary text that satisfies that service’s rules.
Does a PNG guarantee every symbol looks correct?
It preserves the rendered output, including any missing glyphs. Inspect the preview and downloaded file before publishing.
Can a transparent export be recolored later?
A PNG is a raster image. Reopen the original wording in the tool and choose a new color for a clean new export, or use an image editor suited to that task.
